The first thing you need to do when you experience depression is to stop living in the past.
You don’t want to dwell on the things you did wrong.
You want to stop dwelling on the thoughts and feelings that were in the back of your head.
And, most importantly, you want to forget about the feelings you experienced when you felt them.
This means that when you think about your past, you need not dwell on any of the things that you did that hurt you.
Instead, think about the things in your life that made you happy.
What made you laugh?
What made your friends laugh?
Did you love your dog?
How about your hobbies?
You can do this by remembering what makes you happy in the moments you are with people.
For example, you can imagine that you were enjoying a meal with your family when a stranger interrupted the meal to say, “I’m so hungry, I’m starving!”
You can imagine being in a room with a group of people when you hear a joke and you can’t laugh.
When you remember that laughter was made by a stranger, it’s easy to forget that laughter is a part of you.
You can also remember that you enjoyed a meal that you had been meaning to enjoy for hours.
If you are still depressed, you may want to keep thinking about what you ate.
Do you remember how much you ate?
How much food did you eat?
And if you ate a lot of food, did it taste good?
If not, what was it that made it taste bad?
What about the smell of your food?
You may have to recall those things, but you will be able to forget them, too.
You may also want to reflect on the moments that you feel you did the right thing.
Think about the people that you loved, those that you cared about.
What was it about them that made them so great?
Was it because they loved you so much that you gave them the time of day?
Did they love you because they were so good?
Did your parents or grandparents love you?
How did they feel about you?
You will also want your friends and family to notice that you are happy.
How can you remind them that you love them?
And that you’re not going to let them forget that you enjoy life?
If you want your depression to go away, it is crucial that you focus on the people around you.
Talk to your family about the events that caused you to feel depressed.
They are probably the ones who helped you to forget the things from your past that hurt.
If they were there when you were depressed, talk to them about the time you were feeling depressed.
The most important thing is that you start to live in the present and remember what you love about life.
Do that by imagining what you want and how you want it to be.
Then, look at what you have done to make that happen.
Do it, and you will stop worrying about the past and you won’t have to think about it in the future.
In the meantime, your friends can help you by being present in your time of need.
They can make sure that you get to the gym or work out.
They will make sure you are eating right and getting enough sleep.
Your friends will make you feel good about your life.
They’ll also make you understand that you need someone to be there for you when you need them.
Remember: Happiness is a gift that comes from your loved ones.
Happiness is something you do for them.
You need to let it happen.
You will find a way to do it.
If that means that you have to wait, then so be it.
When your depression is gone, you will no longer be sad.
But, when it’s not gone, your depression will always exist.
There is always more you can do.
You are never too old to change.
And when you reach a point where you want more, don’t forget that someone has already given you a gift.
Just remember what it was that made that person happy and what they were hoping for from you.
