She has been seen being taken into custody after being involved in an altercation with a rival gang member.
The film, which will be released on October 26, is set in New York City.
It stars Julianne Moore as Amanda Todd and Adam Driver as the FBI agent Amanda Waller.
The trailer has been viewed over 5 million times and has been shared on Facebook over 20,000 times.
The trailer also features a teaser for a possible future film.
The release date has not been announced.
